German defence minister says drone incursion not a mistake
Germany's Defence Minister Boris Pistorius says the Russian drones in Polish airspace were “clearly directed on this course”.
Answering questions in the Bundestag in Berlin, he tells German lawmakers that "there's definitely no reason to suspect that this was a course correction, a mistake, or anything like that".
“They wouldn't have had to take this route to fly to Ukraine.”
He adds that this demonstrates how they are "under constant threat of provocation" by Russian forces in the Baltic Sea by water, and for Central Europe, through "hybrid attacks" or flights, like the drones.
